To Be Eligible:
To be eligible for student visa, the applicant must

- have an internationally recognised record of exceptional and outstanding achievement in one of the following areas:
- a profession
- a sport
- the arts
- academia and research
- either be in or outside Australia but not in immigration clearance when you apply. If the applicant is in Australia, applicant must be on
- Substantive Visa
- Bridging Visa-A
- Bridging Visa-B
- Bridging Visa-C
- have a nominator with a national reputation in your area of talent who is:
- an Australian citizen,
- an Australian permanent resident,
- an eligible New Zealand citizen, or
- an Australian organisation
- You must prove you can work or support yourself in your field of achievement.
- can apply from onshore and offshore
- meet English requirement- Functional English
- can bring family members to Australia with you
- meet the health requirement and have adequate health insurance
- meet the character test
- meet English requirement
- Sign the Australian values statement if over 18 years
- must declare existing family member
- have an internationally recognised record of exceptional and outstanding achievement in one of the following areas:
If the applicant is under 18 years old, or are 55 years or older when apply, applicant must be of exceptional benefit to the Australian community.
If Granted the Applicant Can:Â
- stay in Australia permanently
- work and study in Australia
- enrol in Australia’s public health care scheme, Medicare
- sponsor your relatives to come to Australia
- travel to and from Australia for 5 years
- if eligible, apply for Australian Citizenship
- either be in or outside Australia but not in immigration clearance when we grant this visa
- attend free English language classes provided by the Adult Migrant English Program if you are eligible
For citizenship purposes, your permanent residence starts on the day:
- we grant the visa if you are in Australia
- you enter Australia on this visa if you are outside Australia
